Our Mission The mission of the organisation is to support the transfer of research skills and knowledge and the development of research infrastructure in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific.

Objectives

The mission and vision of the organisation is to be achieved through the following core objectives:

a. Conducting and publishing research on various issues pertinent to the field of expertise of members and or generally focused on research development in Papua New Guinea.
b. Provide peer support for other researchers to build and strengthen a research culture in PNG.
c. Facilitating research capacity building through developing information packages and general guides on research skills, tools and approaches.
d. Promoting the work of Papua New Guinean scholars to encourage and inspire careers in research to meet the country's information needs.
e. Seeking donor funding to provide financial assistance for Papua New Guinean undergraduate and postgraduate researchers.
f. Promoting a culture of voluntary research mentorship among scholars, students and researchers.
g. Support the revival and development of PNG journals in various fields of study.
h. Advocating for a shared view of strengthening and increasing capacity building of PNG researchers among stakeholders of research projects in PNG.
i. To advocate for the importance of country-specific information and its critical role in evidence-based decision making to support the national planning and development process of PNG.
j. To advocate for the importance of developing Papua New Guinean researchers in various fields of study to contribute to and support the national planning and development process of PNG.
